Who Is Sadiq And Ameen? Do We Even Have Sadiq And Ameen Parliamentarians... or Judges?
It is clear that Chief Justice Bandial's decision to declare the condition of parliamentarians as 'sadiq' and 'ameen' as draconian has brought on a constitutional and legal crisis. Did he make the right decision? Can he make such a decision? What does the Constitution state about this? Why wasn't a full court present to deliberate on such a sensitive matter? If Nawaz Sharif could be disqualified in 2018 on the basis of not fulfilling the sadiq and ameen conditions then are we rewrite the rules yet again for PTI members? Here are our key takeaways from Flagship Naya Daur TV show Khabar Say Aagay:

"In 2018, when Nawaz Sharif was disqualified for life, many felt the courts had overstepped their boundaries by rewriting the constitution. They should have called for a full court or referred this to parliament", Kamran Yusuf.

"Imran Khan makes all the decisions when it comes to the PTI. There are many within the party who are against colliding against the establishment but Imran Khan’s popularity means they are unable to do very much beyond a certain limit," Ansar Abbasi

"Constitution says parliament is sovereign and no one can hold up the constitution better than a parliamentarian. Are these judges making decisions as civilians or are judges making decisions based on the constitution?," Ijaz Ahmed
