No More 'Leaks': Imran's Dark Web Man Delivered Ultimatum, Najam Sethi Says
The Friday Times (TFT) editor Najam Sethi said on Friday that no more 'audio leaks' on the governing coalition will follow since Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's man on the dark web had been delivered a shut-up call.

Sethi made the comments on flagship Naya Daur TV show Khabar Say Aagay. The journalist-of-note said both iterations of Imran's audio leaks on his long-cited foreign intervention cypher had been leaked by intelligence agencies. Citing his fabled chirhya (harbinger), he said Khan's man on the dark web had been delivered a shut-up call. No more leaks compromising the ruling coalition, he said, would follow. Khan had to be delivered a message. That, Sethi said, had been delivered.

Commenting on politics in the Punjab, he said, there was a possibility of people abandoning the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) for Chaudhry Shujaat. This, Sethi said, would constitute a conundrum for the judiciary. Some, on the other hand, could indulge in floor crossing and stand disqualified.

Sethi said the PML-Nawaz (PML-N) could have governor's rule imposed in the Punjab. He said this is what he foresaw coming, sooner or later.

The veteran journalist said the premise of appointing an army chief solely on 'skillset' was bereft of logic. All military men rising to major generalship possessed similar skills. The army chief, he said, ought to be appointed on the basis of seniority.

Sethi said PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was ready to stage a comeback. He said the cases against the PML-N supremo lacked credence. He said they would conclude almost simultaneously with Nawaz's return. Sethi said the onus too, now lay on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and not suspects.
