'PTI Chairman Imran Khan Not Struggling For Civilian Supremacy'
Analyst Zaigham Khan said on Wednesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan had not been struggling for civilian supremacy.

Khan made the comments while speaking in flagship Naya Daur TV show Khabar Say Aagay. That Khan trying to usurp the right of the prime minister to appoint the chief of army staff (COAS) was evidence of this, he said.

The civilian side always emerged stronger wherever civil-military tussles had been witnessed the world over, Lawyer Abdul Moiz Jaferii had posited earlier.

The two panellists were presenting their respective opinions after being showed coverage of PTI chairman Imran Khan addressing a  Lahore lawyers' convention. In the footage streamed by Naya Daur -- The Friday Times, the PTI chairman said an army of jackals led by a lion would always prevail on a force composed of lions but led by a jackal.

While the context of Khan's speech remained unclear, Khabar Say Aagay host Murtaza Solangi said while it remained unclear as to who Khan had branded a jackal, he had definitely proclaimed himself a lion. Khan's team too, he said, always won. Solangi's comments left the panellists in splits.

Flagship Naya Daur TV show Khabar Say Aagay broadcasts Monday-Friday at 9pm.
