The England cricket team arrived in Karachi on Thursday for their first tour of Pakistan after a 17-year hiatus.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tweeted about the team arriving at a hotel in the metropolis.
The team will play seven T20 matches in Karachi and Lahore from September 20 to October 2 in the run up to the T20 World Cup in Australia. Captain Joss Buttler told journalists many English cricketers who had previously been part of the PSL had their shared positive experiences.

Foolproof security arrangements have been made in connection with the series. Roads leading to guarded match venues and local hotels will remain sealed. A helicopter will be monitor the team’s hotel to venue movements.
The PCB also shared footage of an aircraft carrying the team arriving at Jinnah International. The footage went on to show the team disembarking from the Boeing 777.

The last time England played in Pakistan was in 2005. They were scheduled to tour Pakistan in 2021 but pulled out after New Zealand withdrew from a limited series hours before its planned start citing a “security alert” . England too had cited security concerns as the reason behind the withdrawal.
