India Border Security Force Seizes PKR300,000 From Woman Returning From Kartarpur
The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday claimed to have seized PKR300,000 from a man and his grandmother on their return from Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan's Kartarpur town.

Pawan Kumar and his grandmother, who live at Dinanagar in India's Gurdaspur,  visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal via the visa-free Kartarpur Corridor on Monday.

According to police, the woman told the force that she received the money from her brother, who lives in Pakistan, and had come to the gurdwara to meet them. Kumar and his grandmother had previously visited the gurdwara about six months ago.

The Kartarpur Corridor, which allows devotees from India to visit the gurdwara, was inaugurated in late 2019 in a historic people-to-people initiative. Previously, Sikh pilgrims from India had to take a bus to Lahore to get to Kartarpur.
