Hijab-Donning Women Discriminated Against In Egypt: Report
Hijab-wearing women are being discriminated against in Egypt, according to BBC Arabic.

The report said the media outlet conducted an investigation and tried to make reservations at 15 venues in Cairo – Egypt’s capital – accused of discrimination by several Egyptian women.

11 denied entry to hijab-wearing women. The news outlet also sent a couple with a woman wearing a hijab to some venues where the headscarf was not allowed.

When the couple reached one venue they were told the headscarf was prohibited. The manager too confirmed.

When they reached restaurant Kazan they were told "the problem is the headscarf”. “These are the house rules."

The investigation also revealed that some companies prevented hijab-wearing women from purchasing property in luxury townships.
