Charsadda, Nowshera In Peril As Floodwater Destroys Munda Headworks
The Munda Headworks bridge has broken down and has been swept away. Charsadda, Nowshera and other areas in their vicinity are at imminent risk of being inundated. Authorities have been urging citizens to immediately evacuate. Earlier, the deputy commissioner had issued a warning of flooding.

The headworks are located in Charsadda. It is the one of the main barrages to control the water of the river Swat.

Two bridges connecting Charsadda to Peshawar practically stand submerged too. Cracks have been reported in the structures, police say.
