Iconic Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is set to debut as a music composer with R Balki's Chup: Revenge of the Artist.
Both, Balki and Bachchan have a longstanding association with the latter featuring in many of the former's films. The film, slated for a September 23 release, also stars Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary.
Talking about his latest venture and its Bachchan link, Balki said the Bollywood icon had spontaneously started playing the piano after watching the film. The melody, the director said, will be featured in the film as its final title track. "I don’t think there can be an artist whose sensitivity can beat Bachchan’s and Chup has his touch," the director said.
Balki, an erstwhile advertising professional of note, has a number of acclaimed films to his credit. Cheeni Kum, Paa and Pad Man constitute some of his notable works.
