Two terrorists were killed in an operation conducted by security forces in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
The military’s media wing two terrorists had been gunned down in heavy exchange-of-fire. Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group commander Khabaib alias Bilal was among those slain.
Arms and ammunition was also recovered from the spot. Those killed were wanted in connection with attacking security forces with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and killing of innocent citizens. Restive North Waziristan routinely witnesses clashes between security personnel and terrorists.
Last month, security forces claimed to have killed 10 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan besides recovering weapons and ammunition from the site. The ISPR said terrorists killed during the operations were actively involved in activities against security forces.
