Will Take To The Streets For Gill, Imran Says After Abuse Claim
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday announced that the party will hold nationwide demonstrations in support of his detained chief of staff Shahbaz Gill.

Talking to journalists outside the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where he had earlier been barred from meeting Gill, the former premier said that he will stage a demonstration in support of Gill in Islamabad on Saturday. He said similar initiatives will also be taken across all divisional headquarters nationwide.

Earlier in the day the PTI chief claimed in a couple of tweets that Gill had been sexually abused in police custody. He said that all the pictures and videos [being circulated on media] show clearly that Gill was tortured mentally and physically.

“He [Gill] was humiliated to break him down. I now have full detailed info. [The] ICT police say they did not inflict any torture. So my question is who tortured Gill. There is a general perception in the public at large and in our minds too as to who could have carried out the gruesome torture,” he said.

“Remember the public will react. We will leave no stone unturned to find out those responsible and bring them to justice,” he added.
