Pakistani Female Archers Perform Brilliantly At The Islamic Solidarity Games
Three Pakistani female archers have advanced to the round of 32 at the 5th installation of the Islamic Solidarity Games being held in Konya currently.

Umm-e-Kulsoom and Kiran Muhammad directly went into the round of 32 on the basis of their stellar rankings, while Sadia Mai made it forward by defeating UAE's Ayesha Al-Ali 7-3 in the first elimination round, as per a report by Geo News.

Umme-e-Kalsoom ranked 17th, Kiran 23rd and Sadia 33rd in the preliminary round, scoring 560, 532, and 492 points each in the first round.

In addition to the three women, in the men's category Pakistan's Nauman Saqib reached the round of 32 by defeating a Kazakhstani archer 6-0 in the elimination round. However the other Pakistani male archer, Abdul Rehman Hafiz was unfortunately defeated by Kuwait's Al Harbi Abdullah 6-5.

The Islamic Solidarity Games are being held in Konya, Turkey. The games started on August 9 and will go on till August 18. According to TRT World, 4,000 athletes from 56 Muslim countries are competing in 24 different games.
