After a two year delay, Bilal Lashari's much-awaited film The Legend of Maula Jatt is finally set to release in Pakistan on October 13. A nearly three-minute trailer for the film was released on August 14.
The Legend of Maula Jatt is a remake of the cult classic 1979 film Maula Jatt, and follows the story of the iconic epynomous Punjabi fighter. The remake looks to be a darker exploration into the creation of the myth and legend surrounding him.

The film stars Lollywood icon Fawad Khan, and features a killer cast including the beautiful Mahira Khan and Humaima Malick, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Gohar Rasheed, as well as Faris Shafi.

Maula Jatt, a fierce prizefighter with a tortured past seeks vengeance against his arch nemesis Noori Natt, the most feared warrior in the land of Punjab.
