Javed Latif Says Nawaz Sharif Will Return In September
Federal Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Javed Latif claimed on Monday that party supremo Nawaz Sharif would be returning to Pakistan in September.

The minister made this claim while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Monday, where he said that without Nawaz's presence and inclusion, a 'level playing field' in politics was impossible. He claimed that the people had decided and had said that it was now time for Nawaz to return.

During the press conference he also said that the PML-N would not let Nawaz Sharif go back to jail, saying that the party felt like 'injustice' had been done against the party chief, who has been in London since 2019 on medical grounds.

He claimed that Nawaz Sharif had been disqualified on the instructions of former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar, and that there were no real grounds for Sharif's disqualification.

He also criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan, and said that he had the support of a 'few people' who had facilitated his return to Banigala. "Some people are still pulling his (Imran) strings today. We know everything."

Previously, a senior PML-N parliamentarian had said that the question of Sharif’s return was no longer just for the sake of his family and their wishes, but for the future of the PML-N as a political party. “He should and must return at the earliest,” he stressed.
