Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha Tanks At Box Office

Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha Tanks At Box Office
Amir Khan's latest venture, Laal Singh Chaddha has tanked at the box office on its opening day on Thursday.

The film, a remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump, raked in a mere INR12 crores, the lowest opening for an Aamir Khan film in 13 years.

Indian film critic Taran Adarsh described the film's day one as "shockingly low". In a tweet he said, "The dull start has added to the woes of an ailing industry... Better at premium multiplexes, but mass circuits are weak... Needs to score big numbers from Fri-Sun to salvage the situation." Despite the poor figures, the film managed to be listed as the third biggest Bollywood release of 2022 falling behind Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (INR14.1 crores) and Bachchhan Paandey (INR13.2 crores).
