Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has established contact with United States Ambassador to Pakistan David Blome.
The development transpired during a meeting between Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Mehmood Khan and Blome, Samaa TV reported on Thursday. Khan facilitated a phone call between the two after leading Blome to a side room at the K-P Chief Minister House.
The PTI chief reportedly told the diplomat that United States Assistant Secretary Donald Lu’s views should not have become the official American stance. This, he said, had left Pakistanis livid.
Blome told Khan that he had assumed ambassadorial duties to Pakistan a mere two months earlier. He said he would make the government of the United States cognisant of Khan’s views.
