File Treason Case Against Me If You Can, Imran Challenges Govt
Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan has challenged the government to file a treason case against him after the federal cabinet constituted a committee to mull over the same in the wake of the SC judgement.

Addressing a rally in Lahore today, he challenged the government to start treason proceedings against him and said that If Article 6 of the Constitution also applies to PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary, “it does not matter to us”.

“It was said in a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) that there has been an intervention. The Supreme Court said that there was no investigation on the cipher. Whose job was to investigate it? Our ambassador was told that United States will be angry if I am not removed. The current rulers are ready to recognise Israel. When I was removed, there was a celebration in Israel,” he said.

In an apparent reference to the families of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, he said that the two families ruled and looted Pakistan for 32 years.

Talking about the Punjab by-polls scheduled for Sunday, he said that it is not an ordinary election, but an election of two-nation theory, adding that a nation that is a slave can never progress. When a nation wakes up, a revolution takes place, he added.

He said that the two families have never been honest, adding that they will rig the election as they are the people who rob this country and run away as soon as they get the chance.

“Does anyone consider a beggar as a prime minister? You tell me whether US wants Pakistan to be strong.”
