PTI Rally: Interior Minister Says Will Use ‘Fresh' Tear Gas If Needed
Ahead of PTI’s rally in Islamabad, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has announced that ‘fresh’ tear gas will be used against party workers if needed.

Earlier, the former ruling party had accused the Islamabad police of using expired tear gas against its supporters during the party's May 25 Azadi March.

Addressing a press conference today, the interior minister said that the expired tear gas bought by his predecessors has finished. “Now they [PTI workers] will get everything effective, fresh and updated if the need arises. But it would be better if they do not create a situation," he said.

He said that PTI Chairperson Imran Khan should refrain from creating instability in the country, adding that the former premier should indulge in peaceful and national politics.

He added the all the political parties in the country are striving hard to solve the ongoing crises, but the PTI chairperson is playing the politics of hatred.

The interior minister also announced an increase in the salaries of Islamabad police and disbursement of Rs1.2 billion to the families of martyrs, besides building a 100-bed hospital for the police.

Talking about the attack on columnist Ayaz Amir last night, he strongly condemned the incident and said that the police are investigating the case.
