Aamir Liaquat's House Searched For Evidence By Forensic Teams
Following estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA and TV host Aamir Liaquat's death earlier today, forensic teams, investigating officers and senior superintendent (SSP) East arrived at his house to collect evidence.

SSP East Rahim Shirazi said that the police got news of Liaquat's death around 1 PM on Thursday, adding that the lawmaker lived with two employees, one of whom had discovered the deceased and informed the police.

The employee had found Liaquat unconscious in his room, which had been locked. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

“An investigation has been started, taking various angles into account. The postmortem report will make things clearer,” said the SSP, adding that the crime scene unit had been called to the house to collect clues and evidence.

SSP Shirazi also said that no family member of Liaquat was present at the residence.

Meanwhile, Aamir Liaquat's neighbour Jamshed Kazi told reporters at the crime scene that the direction of the generator gas was probably lent to the Liaquat's room not having the proper ventilation.

“People started gathering outside the house, making a ruckus," the neighbour said, adding that Liaquat had probably expired by the time he was taken to the hospital.

Owing to the lawmaker's death, the National Assembly has postponed its today's session till 5 PM tomorrow.

Social media has been flooded with condolences on the death of the TV show host, with politicians, journalists and celebrities alike praying for the deceased.
