Sukkur's First Female SHO Shot Dead By Unknown Men







A female sub-inspector, Zulekha Ansari, was shot dead by an unknown man in Khairpur district last Friday.


Zulekha had been in charge of the complaint centre at the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) office in Sukkur, and was the first female police Station House Officer (SHO) in the Sukkur region.


She was attacked by unknown armed men at a petrol pump, identified as the Sachal Sarmast Petrol Pump, near the town of Ranipur, in the district of Khairpur.


The Senior Superintendent for Police of Khairpur, Zafar Malik, confirmed that Zulekha was brought to the Civil Hospital in Khairpur, where she was declared dead on arrival by the duty doctors.



The officer said that police teams had already started the manhunt to arrest the killers.



Man Kills Wife And Brother For 'Honor' in Shikarpur








In a separate incident, Marri police station spokesperson Mohammad Ismail said that a man killed his wife and his brother on the pretext of 'honor', in the town of Lakhi Ghulam Shah in the district of Shikarpur.



The man, identified as Gulsher, killed his wife Waderi, and his brother Abdul Ghanni after claiming to have seen the two in a 'compromising position'.


SHO Marri police station, Jahanzeb Memon while speaking to the media, confirmed the news of the double murder. He said that after committing the crime, the accused surrendered to the police himself, and confessed to murdering his wife and brother. As of now, no FIR has been registered against the perpetrator.
