Pervez Elahi Accuses CM-Elect Hamza Shehbaz Of Trying To Kill Him
Punjab police have acquired the services of a legal team to advise them on the complaint filed by Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi who wants a case registered against Chief Minister-elect Hamza Shehbaz and several government officers.

On Monday, Elahi filed a petition in the sessions court, requesting the court to issue orders to the authorities concerned to register the case against the Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) leadership.  Qila Gujjar Singh police were then asked by the court to file a response.

Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Afzal, Inspector General of Punjab Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Shahzada Sultan, Additional Chief Secretary Syed Ali Murtaza, Lahore Division Commissioner retired Capt Usman, Deputy Commissioner Umar Sher Chattha and several PML-N lawmakers have been named in the complaint.

In this complaint, Pervez Elahi accused Hamza Shehbaz of ordering officers to beat him up during the election of chief minister in Punjab Assembly last week.

He also alleged that he was attacked by these officers with an intention to kill him in the assembly.

The speaker said that he fractured his arm during the attack and his personal photographer also received several wounds. He said that the CM-elect had asked his MPAs to kill him [Elahi].
