Former PM Imran Receives Flak For Seeking Donations While Travelling In Chartered Plane
In a video message recently posted on social media, former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan called on his supporters living abroad to donate money for the party's campaign against 'imported government'.

While asking for donations in the message posted online on Friday, Imran Khan termed the new government 'corrupt', and said that the regime change in Pakistan took place thanks to a 'foreign conspiracy' against his government.

He also announced launch of a website to cater to donations from overseas Pakistanis.

However, the former PM's message seeking donations did not sit well with some social media users who asked how he could afford a chartered plane if he needs donations for his party's activities.

On Saturday, Imran Khan travelled to and from Karachi in a chartered plane, which was reportedly paid for by a Dubai-based Pakistani businessman who happens to be Khan's friend.

According to reports, an aviation company received Rs2.9 million for the charter flights by the said Pakistani businessman.
