America Says It Agrees With DG ISPR's Statement Denying 'Foreign Conspiracy' To Oust Imran
The United States has said that it agrees with DG Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar's statement in which he denied a 'foreign conspiracy' behind Imran Khan's ouster as the prime minister.
During his weekly press briefing, US State Department spokesman Ned Price was asked to comment on this statement by Pakistan Army spokesperson General Iftikhar. "What are your comments on the Pakistan DG ISPR's statement," he was asked by the journalist. "We would agree with it," he replied.

Earlier on Thursday afternoon, Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the National Security Committee did not discuss a ‘foreign conspiracy’ aimed at regime change in Pakistan, as earlier claimed by former prime minister Imran Khan. Addressing a press conference, the military spokesperson said that the minutes of the national security committee meeting did not contain the word ‘conspiracy’. He added that Pakistan’s institutions are fully capable of thwarting international conspiracies.

In response to a question, the DG ISPR also said that the United States never asked for bases in Pakistan. However, if such a request had been made, it would have been rejected, he added.
