First Action Against PTI Govt: PM Shehbaz Orders Inquiry Into Delay In Islamabad Metro Bus Project
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an investigation against the delay in launch of the Islamabad Metro Bus Project by the erstwhile government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The project has been pending for the past four years.

PM Sharif instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to ensure that the Islamabad Metro Bus Service is up and running by April 16.

Shehabz Sharif visited the Peshawar Morr metro bus station to check the progress of the project at 7 AM. Launched by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in 2017, the metro bus service was supposed to become operation in 2018 in the federal capital.

The prime minister also ordered the authorities concerned to run the metro bus service from Peshawar Morr to Islamabad International Airport so that citizens travelling to the airport can be benefitted.

Later, taking to Twitter, PM Shehbaz Sharif termed it 'unfortunate' that the project was delayed. "Almost all sectors of economy remained stagnant under IK," he wrote.
