Bilawal Asks DG ISPR To Clarify If National Security Committee Declared Opposition 'Traitor'
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has called on the military spokesperson Major General Babar Ifikhar to clarify if the meeting of the National Security Committee recently held to discuss the alleged foreign conspiracy against the government had declared members of the opposition 'traitors'.

Earlier, Imran Khan had stated that the national security meeting had agreed that the opposition was involved in a 'conspiracy' to bring about a regime change in Pakistan.

Will @OfficialDGISPR clarify did NSC meeting declare the 197 members of NA traitors and part of a foreign plot? Can foreign office or defense ministry produce any official correspondence between 7-27th on foreign sazish," Bilawal said in a tweet.

He added that a plan "of this scale would have been uncovered by our own intelligence agencies and other institutions not just an ambassadors cable", asking if the intelligence agencies confirm Imran Khan's claims. The PPP chairman went on to say that Imran Khan's ego was 'not more important than Pakistan'.

On Sunday, the crucial session of the National Assembly was adjourned for an indefinite period after Deputy Speaker Qasim Soori rejected the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan on the grounds that it was part of some foreign conspiracy. The Supreme Court subsequently took notice of the development and has been hearing the case. The opposition leaders have expressed the hope that the apex court will overturn the deputy speaker's ruling.
