Joint Opposition Says PM Imran ‘Targeting Pakistan' To Stay In Power
The joint opposition has slammed Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying that he was unleashing 'economic, social and foreign catastrophe' on the country in his attempt to remain in power, terming Khan a ‘security risk.'

In a statement on Thursday, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif said, “Your corruption, arrogance and incompetence led the country to face economic, social and foreign catastrophe.”

The Opposition Leader also called for a 'ban' on PM Imran's speeches over the potential damage they are causing to Pakistan's foreign relations.

Referring to the prime minister's 'threat letter', Shehbaz claimed the prime minister was lying over the alleged 'foreign conspiracy' against him. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz also recommended the prime minister should be 'gagged before he makes a joke of the country.'

“To this day, the [threat] letter has not been shown to the people or to parliament but only its contents have been shared. Not showing the letter means that there is no letter and [PM] Imran Niazi like always is telling a new lie” Shehbaz said.

"Why had this letter surfaced only after Imran saw the writing on the wall that he had lost majority in parliament?” inquired PML-N leader and former Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.

Asif said that the real foreign conspiracy was the 'illegal' foreign funding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has received, and which the Election Commission of Pakistan is currently investigating.
