Slip Of Tongue? PM Imran Names America As Country That 'Conspired' Against Govt, Refuses To Resign
Prime Minister Imran Khan, during his live address to the nation, mistakenly named America as the country that sent a 'threatening' message to Pakistan. "The message said that Pakistan would be forgiven if the no-trust motion succeeds," he said.

"We got a message from America on March 8," he said, and then proceeded to correct himself, saying, "a country.." The PM added that this conspiracy was hatched against his government because Pakistan had been pursuing independent foreign policy.

He also said that the country that threatened Pakistan was also in touch with the opposition leaders who initiated the no-trust move. He referred to the opposition leaders as 'three stooges'.
The PM began his address with his reasons to join politics, adding that he worked towards getting Pakistan an independent foreign policy.

The PM then mentioned the no-trust motion, voting on which is to be held on Sunday. He said that he would not resign despite being advised to step down. In an apparent reference to dissident PTI lawmakers, Imran Khan said that he wanted the nation to see who all sold their conscience [on the voting day].

He added that looted money was being used for horse-trading. "This is tantamount to selling the country and its sovereignty," he said.
