Dissident PTI MNA Backtracks, Says Will Support PM Imran During No-Confidence Vote
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Malik Ahmad Hussain Dehr, who was one of the dissident lawmakers reportedly staying at the Sindh House, has taken a u-turn, announcing that he will now support Prime Minister Imran Khan during proceedings of the no-confidence motion against him.

Speaking to reports on Friday, Dehr said, "God willing, I am with the government," and said that his previous concerns were being addressed. "Discussions are being held", he reported.

"I have some issues that [PM Imran] will solve. They are being solved and after that, I will support (him)," the PTI MNA explained.

In the days leading up to the no-confidence vote, the PTI has doubled down on efforts to woo prodigal lawmakers. Earlier, estranged PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen and his group were reportedly offered development funds if they withdraw their demand to remove Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

On Friday, NA Speaker Asad Qaiser delayed the no-confidence motion till March 28th, citing parliamentary rules and traditions, under which a session is adjourned after prayers for the departed souls. Furthermore, the PTI had previously claimed that it will attempt to disqualify the votes of dissenting party members, after seeking the opinion of the Supreme Court.

The opposition has maintained that it has amassed enough support for the no-confidence motion, and has called the PTI's attempts to delay the motion treasonous and unconstitutional.
