PPP Senator Krishna Kumari Kohli has demanded the killers of Pooja Kumari Oad be given death penalty.
Krishna Kumari visited the house of Pooja Kumari in village Hazaro Jatio near Rohri in Sukkur district on Tuesday. She met the victim’s parents — Sahib Oad and Rabia Oad.
Talking to the media, she said that on March 21, the 18-year-old Hindu girl was shot in the dead with a pistol allegedly by Wahid Bakhsh Lashari, Haji Raees and an unknown person, when she resisted her kidnapping.
Kohli further said that the SSP Sukkur district, Sanghar Malik, has assured her that Pooja’s killers will be arrested at the earliest.
Sahib and Rabia told the media that they had submitted an application with SHO Rohri Police for Pooja’s protection about 15 days before her brutal murder. But, they said, SHO Bashir Ahmed Jagirani took it lightly.
She added that girls representing the minority communities in Pakistan feel unsafe even inside their homes. They are forced to marry and convert to Islam. She demanded security and protection for members of the minority community living in Sindh.
Police on Tuesday brought accused Wahid Bakhsh Lashari to the court of Judicial Magistrate-1, Sukkur, and got 10-day physical remand for him.
Sahib and Rabia told the media that they had submitted an application with SHO Rohri Police for Pooja’s protection about 15 days before her brutal murder. But, they said, SHO Bashir Ahmed Jagirani took it lightly.
They further said that the prime accused wanted to marry Pooja, and used to make threatening calls to her on phone. They demanded immediate arrest of the three accused and speedy trial in the court.
Pooja was buried in a graveyard near Shikarpur on Tuesday.
It is problem of Pakistan, there is no fear of police and administration. Coz if a muslim kills or converts a Hindu for any reason local masjid and police supports overtly or covertly so that culprit escapes from punishment.
If u analyze the crimes against Hindus Sikhs visa a his punishments ratio it is very dismal. No justice for minorities in Pakistan.
Unless Pakistan separates its religion mixing in daily matter, I cant see its end.
Pakistan, Where are gone your Hindus, who were about 20% during 1947.
If Indian Hindus start similar acts towards their minority, especially muzlims, it will hurt u in a very very big way.
So stop this and award death to the killers.
It is the mentality of people whose brains are carried away under influence of Asmani kitab called koran. This is a problem exist all over world across the muslim countries. There could be exceptions to this, but they are few.
Why was the girl not cremated according to the Hindu traditions, and instead buried in the graveyard?
