PM Imran Threatens Opposition With Consequences If No-Confidence Vote Fails
Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned the opposition of the ramifications of a failed no-confidence vote against his government, while bitterly criticising opposition leaders who’re planning the move.

“Are you ready for what I will do with you once your plans for a no-trust motion fail?" the prime minister said during a speech before a crowd in in Vehari district's Mailsi tehsil in Punjab.

The prime minister took aim at the members of the opposition one by one, starting with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif who he called 'criminal number 1'. PM Imran asked the crowd, "how can a geedar (jackal) become a leader? Have you ever heard of a leader being someone who runs away with his tail between his legs?"

He claimed that the Sharif family was duplicitous, saying that "The Sharif family has learnt the technique of playing on both sides of the wicket as the absconder [Nawaz] and his daughter [Maryam Nawaz] say bad things about the army but Shehbaz never misses any opportunity to polish boots that come his way.

Turning to Pakistan People's Party (PPP), he said the party co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari was known as 'Mr 10%' because he was known for taking a ten per cent commission from 'everyone and everything'.

He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not deserve the title, as Maulana referred to educated, honest and pious people.

In response, PML-N President Shehbaz took to Twitter after the speech, saying that the PTI government was "never short of ludicrous ideas to mask its incompetence, corruption and mega failures"

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter after the speech went public, questioning why he was 'falling apart and sounding hysterical'.
