Bilawal, Shehbaz To Meet In Lahore To Discuss Political Cooperation In Parliament
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for lunch on Saturday, signalling an infrequent opportunity for the two party leaders to confer.

Bilawal will be accompanied by his father, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. The pair will meet Sharif at his residence in Lahore's Model Town. Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif are also expected to attend.

The PPP frontmen are in Lahore to meet with the PPP local chapter in the city. Insiders claimed that the PML-N president had invited Bilawal Bhutto on the insistence of the former prime minister, his brother Nawaz Sharif.

According to sources privy to the confab, discussions at the table were said to revolve around formulating a strategy between opposition parties in parliament against the current government.  Also a topic of discussion was Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s rant regarding Leader of the Opposition in Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani, as well as PPP's long march, scheduled to leave from Karachi to Islamabad on February 27.

Announcing its own long march, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has confirmed it will hold its demonstration against inflation on March 23, which is also Pakistan Day.

Asif Ali Zardari has been previously quoted as saying he does not plan to join the PDM because until now, the group has not effectively mounted change in the government.
