Wave Of Terror Attacks In Balochistan Kills Dozens Including Senator’s Cousin
A series of terrorist attacks across the Balochistan province have left ten people dead, including Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Senator Sarfaraz Bugti's cousin, who was killed along with four others in a landmine explosion in Dera Bugti on Friday.

"Among 4 martyrs, one is my cousin Sain Bux, who is father of 4 kids. Provincial and federal governments are failing to protect innocent people," Sarfraz said on Twitter, imploring the government to put an end to the violent militant attacks in the province. The Senator added that the Baloch Republic Army (BRA) had taken responsibility for the attack.

In separate incidents, six people died in two shootouts in Chagai and Quetta.  Another four people died and several more were injured in Quetta during a firing incident on Sariab Road.

Near Mach, 50 kilometers southeast of Quetta, two men were killed when gunmen stopped their vehicle transporting oil.  The area was cordoned off and security forces launched a search operation in the area.

Condemning the attacks, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo said that those responsible would be caught, terming the incidents 'cowardly acts of terrorism.'

Earlier this week, 10 soldiers were killed in Kech, Balochistan when a group or militants fired on a military camp during a nighttime attack. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

In recent weeks, a series of terrorist attacks have rocked the country. A bomb blast in the crowded Anarkali Market in Lahore killed three and injured dozens more on January 20.  Three days earlier, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants attacked a checkpoint in Islamabad, killing one police officer and injuring two more.
