Stop Wasting Time And Money On Nawaz, Chaudhry Shujaat Advises PM Imran

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who happens to be an ally of the government, has urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to concentrate on the country’s floundering economy and rising inflation, rather than waste further time and money speculating on Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country.

‘The government has spent more amount of money on the cases against him than the corruption Nawaz Sharif did,’ Chaudhry Shujaat said, remarking that the chances of Sharif’s return are slim.

He said that the whisperings of Sharif’s return were ‘ridiculous’ and did not reflect the views or objectives of the PML-N party.  PML-N leader Khurram Dastagir attempted to quash rumors late last month, stating that the former premier would not be leaving London because of his on-going medical treatments there.

Instead, Chaudhry Shujaat urged the incumbent administration to focus on more important and consequential matters, like the country’s economy.

“If any leader or party hands out a positive plan to decrease the inflation rate, I will ask my members to listen to them,” the PML-Q leader continued.

Previously, Imran Khan has asked his government to abstain from commenting on the rising inflation rate, despite data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics which shows that inflation was 12.3 per cent higher last month compared to the same time last year.
