Sharmila Faruqi Reports Nadia Khan To FIA For 'Ridiculing' Mother's Make-Up
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Faruqi lodged an official complaint with the the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s Cybercrime Wing against actor Nadia Khan on Thursday for 'ridiculing and mocking' her mother's make-up in a video Khan posted online.

In the video, which had been circulating on social media, Nadia Khan can be seen interviewing Anisa Faruqi, the PPP leader's mother, at actor Saboor Aly's wedding, asking her  "Who does your makeup, it's so beautiful?"

The woman proudly responds that her daughter, Sharmila, helped her do her makeup.

While the interaction may seem innocuous, Sharmila Faruqi has contended that Nadia was being sarcastic and poking fun at her mother and her personal style.

"I, for one will never sit back [and] allow any person to ridicule [or] mock any woman may it be my mother or yours.  it's unfortunate to see a woman gibe at another woman, that too an elderly lady who lost her husband 95 days ago," Sharmila shared in a post on her Instagram account about the catty behavior.

In an interview with The Current, Sharmila said, "[Nadia] is shameless and heartless," alleging that the woman "don’t have anything else to do so [she] want to get publicity and ratings by making such videos."

“You can not use women or anyone else or even men to ridicule them, just for the sake of your own publicity, and free publicity.  I as a woman, as a mother as a daughter will not tolerate this," Sharmila said.
