The Foreign Office of Pakistan cautioned the ‘real possibility’ of an impending false flag operation staged by India, rejecting the Indian Army’s allegations of ‘launch pads’ and ‘training camps’ set up by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LOC).

“There is a real possibility that India might stage another false flag operation to complicate the current situation. So we continue to alert our friends in the international community about this prospect,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar reported during a weekly news briefing yesterday.

On Wednsday, India Army General M. M. Naravane had claimed that Pakistan had encamped hundreds of ‘terrorists’ at launch pads and training facilities along the Pakistani side of the LoC.

The FO spokesperson called the Indian General’s statements ‘malicious anti-Pakistan propaganda’ and nothing more than ‘fallacious comments’.

“There is nothing new about the Indian General’s unfounded allegations, as these are a part of the malicious anti-Pakistan propaganda being peddled by the BJP-RSS [Bharatiya Janata Party-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh] combine at the helm in India,” he said.

Shifting statements to Jammu and Kashmir, the FO official again called on India to allow international human rights and humanitarian organizations to conduct an independent investigation in Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).

He said Pakistan stood ready to engage in a fruitful conversation with India, but stated, “the onus is, however, on India to create an enabling environment conducive for dialogue.”
