Humayun Saeed To Star As Lady Diana's Pakistani Lover In Netflix's 'The Crown'
This season of Netflix's hit series, 'The Crown,' will feature Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed as Dr. Hasnat Khan, the British-Pakistani heart surgeon and alleged paramour of the late Princess Diana.

The real-life Dr. Khan rose to international recognition during his two year relationship with Princess Diana from 1995 to 1997.  The two were set to marry, but incessant paparazzi hounded the couple's every move.  Dr. Khan and Lady Di allegedly considered moving to Pakistan to evade the press.  It is reported that Diana even discussed moving to Pakistan with Jemima Goldsmith, who was then married to Imran Khan during his days as a cricket player.

The pair's relationship ultimately ended in 1997 after Princess Diana met Dodi Fayed and broke up with Dr. Khan. Tragically, Dodi Fayed and Princess Diana died in a fatal car crash later that year.

Hamayun Saeed, who will portray Dr. Hasnat Khan, has enjoyed a successful career in television and movies since his debut in 1999 in the Urdu-film "Inteha". He also has starred in hit movies such as “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani” (2015), Punjab Nahi Jaungi” (2017), and “Project Ghazi” (2019).

"The Crown" is currently in its fifth season.  Starring opposite Saeed, "Tenet" star Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana.  Dodi Fayed will be played by "The Kite Runner" star Khalid Abdalla.
