Rangers Allegedly Raid House Of Ali Wazir's Lawyer, Harass Family
The house of senior lawyer, Qadir Khan, who is representing incarcerated Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM)-linked MNA Ali Wazir as well as several other PTM members, was reportedly raided by Sindh Rangers in Karachi last night. The lawyer’s family including his daughter were allegedly harassed by the personnel.

In a post from Rahman Bunairee, the journalist reported that Qadir Khan's house had been ransacked.  Although Qadir Khan was not present at the time of the incident, his "family members and especially his daughter Galali have been harassed."

Ali Wazir was arrested in Peshawar on December 16 2020 and charged with issuing statements against the state, along with 10 other PTM members. Wazir was granted bail by the Supreme Court on November 30 2021, but remains incarcerated.

Wazir won a Nation Assembly Seat for PTM from South Waziristan in 2018. The PTM is a largely ethic-Pashtun party which has demanded the rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan's former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), and is vocal about the violence inflicted on the people of northwestern Pakistan. .

"State agencies must desists from such tactics or they will face the wrath of the people," Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from North Waziristan Mohsin Dawar said, terming the incident a form 'state terrorism'.
