Pakistan Army’s engineering organisation Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) has produced a documentary on construction of the Karakoram Highway which will be telecasted on Pakistan Television (PTV). Reacting to the military construction company trying its hand at production, social media users wondered if the documentary will feature ordinary workers apart from FWO personnel. With a high production value, the trailer for the documentary promises views of the gorgeous Karakorum Mountain Range.

However, the production company left some scratching their head.
A film by Frontier Works Organization? https://t.co/7ng3XO3J6r

While the Karakoram Highway is a marvel, many were concerned about the documentary’s solitary focus on the armed services.
Apportioning credit to only uniformed personnel is insensitive to others.
Hundreds perished building KKH thru a decade.
A large number were Pakistani and Chinese civilians.
They r not children of a lesser god.
They r no less heroes
Laud heroes but not selectively. https://t.co/U7cBD0fqI3— Farhatullah Babar (@FarhatullahB) December 30, 2021
Since childhood we were brainwashed through different mediums that we Pakistanis have many feathers in our cap, this was one of them, but then we came to know that max and major work on KKH was done by Chinese and they sacrificed many lives. https://t.co/PzXfe9zRvz

Others were concerned that the documentary would amount to little more than nationalistic propaganda.
ok love the first look, the mountains and the helmet,if only they focus more on the construction aspect of it than too much forced patriotism than will tune in https://t.co/1KOyuGXroe

Signs of a country failing…
Pro-army propaganda films made by the government.Easier to fund a film and divert everyone’s attention than to try to fix broken public systems.#Pakistan https://t.co/SAgkX7J8Vy

The documentary will air on PTV on 1st January at 11:05am.
I was planning to see the documentary but as it is an ISPR propaganda, sorry, I would not now.
