DPO Kohat has denied Minister for Science Shibli Faraz's claim that he was attacked by gunmen in Dara Adam Khel, Kyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), clarifying that some enraged protestors had pelted stones at his car due to which his driver was injured.
Earlier on Sunday, Shibli Faraz had claimed that his car came under attack in Darra Adam Khel and that his driver was severely wounded in the firing. The injured were reportedly taken to a local hospital for medical assistance. The minister stated that he 'miraculously' survived the attack, adding that the attackers were carrying black flags.
However, the DPO's statement on the matter indicates that it was not a firing incident, as claimed by the minister.
