News Anchor Javed Chaudhry's Son Among Four Arrested For Harassment
Television news show host Javed Chaudhry’s son was among four suspects arrested by the Islamabad police for allegedly harassing the students and staff members of a college in the capital. The suspects were remanded in judicial custody after they were produced in the court by the police, as per a report in Dawn.

The Dawn report had not named the anchor, but in a video, senior journalist and anchor Imran Khan revealed that it was Javed Chaudhry's son. He however claimed that Chaudhry is of the opinion that his son should face the law and be punished if he is found guilty. Khan said that he spoke to the police to get details of the case.

The First Information Report (FIR) of the incident was registered in the Shalimar police station. Multiple charges, including punishment for wrongful confinement (section 542), assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty (section 354), and assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person otherwise than on grave provocation (section 355), were included in the FIR.

While talking to DAWN, Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Zone Nosherwan Ali said that the police were responding to a phone call that informed them that a group of people had forcefully entered the Islamabad Model College for Boys F-11/3 and were harassing the students and staff.

The police immediately reached the scene of the crime where it arrested the accused and shifted them to the nearby police station. The SP further informed that the accused were drunk at the time of arrest and had been taken to a hospital for medical examination.
