Zahir Jaffer Warned By Court For Abusive Behaviour: Continued Disruption Will Mean Attending Court From Jail Via Video Link
Prime accused in the Noor Mukadam murder case Zahir Jaffer has been issued a written warning by a sessions court judge, to the effect that a continuation of his outbursts in court will lead to being disallowed from attending.

The court has noted in its order:
"Zahir Zakir created fuss in the court and tried to interfere in the proceedings. He is directed to mend his attitude otherwise his attendance will be exempted from the court and he will be taken on video link from jail."

The accused Jaffer had abused Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani and kept up the disruptive behaviour which has marked his appearances in court. He had recently said in the courtroom:
"This court is nothing but dirt. This court is dragging this because they have no power. I have never seen something more fake.”

The prime accused kept up his earlier demands to be executed so as to be spared having to remain in prison:
"I'm giving you guys an opportunity to hang me but still you guys are dragging it. This all is a puppet show [...] I have never seen more incompetent people in a room in my entire life."

The judge called for Jaffer to be removed from the courtroom. During this process, Jaffer resisted as policemen dragged and eventually carried him out of the court, back to lockup.

At one point, the accused had taken Inspector Mustafa Kiani of the police by the collar. Inspector Kiani has filed a case against Jaffer for interfering in the state’s functioning and for attempted suicide.
