PPP MPA Sent To Police Remand For 3 Days In Jokhio Murder Case
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) lawmaker from Sindh Jam Awais Khan Jokhio was sent on a three-day remand to police, following his surrender to the authorities in a case related to a man's murder at his farmhouse in Thatta.

The slain man, Nazim Sajawal Jokhio, was found deaf after being tortured body at the Jam House, which is PPP MPA Jam Awais' farmhouse in Malir's Jam Goth. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, as per Memon Goth Station House Officer (SHO) Khalid Abbasi.

The victim's brother, Afzal Jokhio, had said that MPA Awais and MNA Jam Abdul Karim were involved in his brother's murder.

Earlier, traffic between Karachi and Thatta was blocked as locals and family members of a man protested his murder, allegedly for posting a video of a PPP MPA and a foreign visitor hunting the houbara bustard. Nazim Jokhio had made a video as he stopped a car with foreign license number and asked the occupants about their activities in Thatta. These individuals threatened Jokhio and tried to take away his mobile phone.

As the video went viral, Jokhio was found dead at Memon Goth, Malir. The family accuse Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Jam Awais of his murder. According to them, Nazim Jokhio was tortured to death by the MPA.

Allegations have arisen that the foreign visitor at the scene was from a Gulf Arab background. High-profile visitors from the Persian Gulf states are commonly associated with the hunting of the houbara bustard in Sindh.
