A video is circulating on social media of Pakistani diplomats in Moscow having a private laugh over the recent Twitter row between Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari and lawyer Imaan Zainab Haazir-Mazari, who is the minister's daughter. The Pakistani diplomats, attending the Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan, appear to be unaware that their mic is on and their conversation is being recorded.
The diplomats appear amused over the political clash between mother and daughter becoming public on social media. One of them tells his colleagues that federal minister Shireen Mazari was his friend, that he knew her to be “quite left-wing” and that her style was always “aggressive.”
Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari earlier took to social media to express her anger over her daughter Imaan Zainab Hazir-Mazari’s tweet which claimed that the country is being run through “witchcraft.” Reacting to her daughter’s tweet, federal minister Shireen Mazari had said that she was ashamed.
