PML-N Leader Criticises PM Imran For Delaying DG ISI Notification
Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has criticised the government for delaying the notification formalising the appointment of the new Director General of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). Iqbal on Wednesday said that a 'drama' that had been taking place for the last two weeks had become a 'joke' before the world.

He expressed these views while talking to reporters in Islamabad. "The whole administrative machine of Pakistan has become dysfunctional," he said. The former interior minister further said that defence institutions [Pakistan Army] were the only effective institution in the country.

Iqbal noted that the PM sometimes 'threatens' that the military commander could be removed like Muslim commander Khalid bin Waleed and other sometimes says that in the state of Medina the commanders were promoted on basis of their performance.

He further said that some TV anchors were saying that defence appointments were being decided on basis of superstitious beliefs. "This is a drama taking place in Pakistan," he said, adding that Pakistan was an atomic power yet it has become the laughing stock of the world.
