After days of speculations on social media, which was later picked up by electronic media as well, it is being reported that a meeting of top figures was held on Monday evening to resolve the alleged deadlock over the recent postings in the military.

When asked about civil military relations in a press conference, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed dodged the question, saying Fawad Chaudhry or Pervez Khattak were the appropriate authorities to comment in this regard.
In an appearance on a TV talk show, journalist Saleem Safi confirmed that a meeting of top military and civil leaderships took place on Monday in which the way forward was discussed. Safi said he was expecting the matter to be resolved today, and that the much-awaited notification from the PM’s Office could be issued shortly.
