In today’s world, the need to stay in line, or slightly ahead, has become more crucial in the face of rapid advancements in every industry. In Pakistan, while we can see the tech industry quickly making gains, there is less progress in other areas especially related to arts.
In this scenario, those interested in arts have a local name to look up to for inspiration, Ayesha M. Ali. Here is a person who overcame all the hurdles and today is a well-known name in the digital arts industry. She has several popular pieces of art to her credit which have garnered applause from around the world. Intent on being at par with the most modern concepts of her industry, she has also delved into Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs), using them to offer her artwork and AI-collaborated multimedia pieces.
NFT is not a familiar acronym, not only in Pakistan but around the world. It stands for Non Fungible Tokens, which is a new concept and is one of the many applications of Blockchain technology. The NFTs serve as the unique identity of any digital piece of art, making the original distinguishable from copies. So any piece of art initially created as an NFT protects against any form of piracy or theft. It also makes the transfer of ownership easy, as one can purchase an original piece of digital art online.
In recent times, the NFTs have made headlines many times. References to NFTs came to a peak when Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, offered to sell the first-ever tweet made on the platform by himself, as an NFT. Apart from that, several notable digital artists have made big by selling their artwork as NFTs. Top names include Beeple (Mike Winkelmann), Trevorjonesart (Trevor Jones), FEWOCiOUS and Pak. Beeple managed to sell an NFT for a whopping $69 Million, showing the potential of the industry.
At present, Ethereum NFT Market is the place where this business has converged, as it was the only blockchain supporting NFTs for a long time. Recently, Tron has also entered the mix and launched its own NFTs. The blockchains, as we know, provide a secure way of data storage with decentralized control, so it offers much-needed security for online creators.

‘Am I your muse?’

It is evident that the NFT markets will continue to grow and bring benefits for digital artists, gaming companies, sports authorities and celebrities alike. So it is important for us to have some Pakistanis in the mix, representing the country and making a positive impact. This brings us back to Ayesha Mubarak Ali, whose journey and achievements is not only a source of inspiration but also pride because she is the first artist in Pakistan to bring costumes, digital art and machine learning together into her projects.
Her popular digital works include Butterfly Effect, Cosmic Fusion, Incognito, Plutchick/Sentiment and Futuristic. All these masterpieces are listed on different art platforms and can also be found at her website, Oshii Brownie Studio. Her works speak volumes about her intellect, deep thought process and her design prowess. The reader is highly recommended to check out some of her artwork to understand what we are talking about here.
She uses the most contemporary techniques in her artwork, not known to many in the country. Her skill in using 3D Modelling and Fusion Collage Work is at par with leading professionals from around the world, bringing her much-deserved recognition. Her work was published in VICTOR Magazine Dubai, along with popular Pakistani magazines like WOMANISTAN, Fashion Times and SPOTLIGHT. Her achievements also include prestigious awards like the Zahoor-ul Akhlaq Award and the Sharmeen Ariff Award.
Ayesha M. Ali also lends her voice for women’s empowerment in Pakistan. Apart from leading the way with her work, she also uses it to bring a change in the beauty concepts and perception of women prevalent in our society. All in all, it is important for us to support and promote an individual like Ayesha, to help more talented individuals come forward and follow the example.
