A physician belonging to the Sikh community was shot dead by unidentified men on Peshawar's Charsadda road on Thursday. The police stated that the accused broke into Satnam Singh's clinic and shot him four times. He was taken to the Lady Reading Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
According to the police, the slain man had come to Peshawar from Hassan Abdaal on Wednesday.
The Peshawar CCPO was quoted as saying by Express Tribune that the police were investigating the case. Law enforcement personnel surrounded the slain physician's clinic following the attack.
Earlier in July, a Peshawar Development Authority official Junaid Akbar was killed by unknown men. His brother had told media that he was shot when he left his home to buy something.
