A woman was killed while resisting a robbery in Lahore’s Defense area on Tuesday.
According to reports, the incident took place in DHA’s Phase I, where Dr Khaula, 25, was on her way to meet her friend Rija when she was accosted by two men riding a motorbike at the entrance of her friend’s home. The men threatened her at gun point and when she resisted, they shot her and fled.
On receiving information, DIG Investigation Sharq Jamal Khan, SSP Investigation Mansoor Aman and SP Cantt Issa Sukhera along with other officers reached the scene and with the help of forensic experts, collected evidence from the spot.
A case was registered against the unidentified gunmen on the complaint of Dr Khaula’s father Dr Basharat Ali Khan.
Police sources have told media that two men have been detained in connection with the case. They said CCTV footage was used to trace the movements of the men who fled from the scene.
