Usman Mirza, Six Accomplices Indicted By Court In Couple Assault Case
Prime accused in couple harassment case, Usman Mirza, and his six accomplices were indicted by a district and sessions court in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Charges were framed against Usman Mirza's accomplices who include Hafiz Ataur Rehman, Adaras Qayyum Butt, Rehan, Umar Bilal Marwat, Mohib Bangash and Farhan Shaheen.

The accused pleaded not guilty after the charge sheet was presented to them. The prosecution was then asked by the court to produce evidence against the accused. Witnesses from the prosecution's side were issued notices for recording their statements before the court.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till October 12.

The case emerged in July when four people were seen assaulting and harassing a couple and forcing them to strip. The accused were subsequently arrested and booked by the police.

Registered in the Golra police station, the FIR included section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 354A (assault or use of criminal force to woman and stripping her of her clothes), 506 (ii) (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The FIR was registered on behalf of the state.

Usman Aziz is a resident of I-8, and co-owns a car showroom dealing with new and used cars and real estate.
