Islamabad High Court Stays Allotment Of Land To CDA Officials: Chief Justice Minallah Demands Reports On Uncompensated Land Owners
Chief Justice Athar Minallah of the Islamabad High Court has stayed the allotment of plots to Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials. This decision comes in response to the petition by a CDA official requesting allotment.

The Chief Justice of the High Court noted that 11,000 owners of land were awaiting compensation. He stated that these people were victims of injustice by CDA. Further, Justice Minallah demanded to know as to how it was that the victims were being left aside while influental and powerful classes were able to secure plots.

CDA administrators, according to Justice Minallah, were doling out plots to their own employees rather than giving the victims their due rights.

In light of its latest order, the High Court has sent a notice to the Attorney General, asking for assistance. Moreover, CDA officials have been asked to prepare a report on the failure to compensate victims in Islamabad.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned till the next date.
