Fake Sinovac Vaccine Dose Entered On Nawaz Sharif's Name From Lahore: Punjab Government Promises Investigation
A “fake entry” for the vaccination of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is being investigated by the Punjab Health Department. This entry was added to the National Immunisation Management System, and purports to show that Sharif received his first dose of the Sinovac vaccine on Wednesday, the 22nd of September. It appears that the entry was made from the Government Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, Lahore.

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of the Punjab Government has sent this information to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for action. At a press conference, Punjab government spokesperson Fayyazul Hassan Chohan stated that an investigation was underway and those responsible for this fake entry would be punished.

Former PM Nawaz Sharif left the country in November 2019 and has not been back since. For her part, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the fake entry in her father's name indicates the problems with the vaccine registration system. She said in a press conference:
“It only exposes the system and its vaccine registration mechanism," she said, adding: "I am worried about it."
